I am in the process of moving the cooker in our kitchen, and I have removed the tiles off the wall to find the cooker wires and I am confused.

The cooker draws its electric from the specific wire, which goes into a seperate fuse patress. I am confused as there is a 2.5mm twin and earth entering fuse patress next to the cooker control unit. I don't understand this, why does the 2.5 mm twin and earth go to the fuse patress?

regards

Matt

Word has it that B-A-S if alive in the electric forum tonight. Can you blame the Op for 'giving it a swerve'?

Fuse patress?
are talking about a fused connection unit?
Is the cooker wired up to this 2.5mm T&E and if so what size is the fuse/mcb protection the circuit?
and what is the output of the cooker?
