I'm fitting an eletric fire in a new build house. There is a switched fused spar next to where I'm fitting the fire which is clearly the supply for the fire, but the supply terminates at the spar. My question is, I am running a short wire to the fire from the spar, approx. 3 feet. I don't have the fire yet so don't have any instructions, but I am fitting the fireplace and would like to run the cable now before the fire comes. The cable I have is 1.5mm flat twin n earth from screwfix. Will this be enough for a 2kw fire?

If there is a FCU intended for the fire, the flex will be heat resistant. Not T & E.
