electric heaters

hi i need to get a couple of electric heaters for 2 rooms
could anyone tell me what are the cheapest to run i.e.

halogen heater
convector heater
oil filled heater

All of them use 2kW of electricity to produce 2kW of heat.

However you have placed them in decreasing order of speed of sensation of warmth.

Is it a room you will heat all day, or for short periods?

How big is the room? Is it an office, bedroom, bathroom or living room?

Are you trying to make it comfortable throughout, or will you be heating one corner of a warehouse?

Are you interested in keeping a damp room dry?

Will you turn off the heater yourself when you feel warm or will you use a thermostat?
