Electric hob trips rcd

This hob trips the breaker and corresponding RCD whenever I turn on hob #2. It’s fine for all other hobs but consistently fails with #2.

Any suggestions on what may be causing this and how it can be resolved please?

Is that routine maintenance or is this when it should be replaced?

You need to buy a new ring.

Scrap the whole thing and buy a new one.

It's not worth repairing, even if the parts are available.

Get a new one, it will save cleaning the old one..

If replacing upgrade to an induction hob. Much better.

If you are tight for cash, new rings are £15 on eBay.

Easy to replace. Just Google/YouTube it.
