Hello,

My Electric oven [Diplomat, fan assisted] has been making a

rattling/banging noise for a while. Yesterday the banging seemed

louder, tried to use the oven today but it won't come on. The grill

works fine.

anyone any ideas? Craig.

I reckon the fan was making the noise & maybe now has broke.
The fan is the only moving part, so its the only item than can make a noise

How easy are the fans to replace and are they expensive?

It shouldnt be that difficult to replace, things like this are designed to be changed.
Is the element still working, usualy the element is independant of the fan.

As far as price, no idea, Do a goooogle search, there are plenty of companies out there selling spares.

Hi,

Had to replace the oven element as it had completely burnt through.

Still sometimes when the fan kick in it makes a noise.

wondered if lubricating the fan may solve this?

Craig.

You would need high temp crease.
Is it a motor sound or are the blades knocking
