Can someone tell me correct way to connect electric oven.Oven, s 3 killowats.Cable run from CPU is about 7 meters.book says Min cable size 2.5 and fuse size Min 15 amp-20 amp MAX.double pole switch is also mentioned. Is 2.5 cable from CPU to switch suffitient. What size round flex?Cable would run from 20 amp mcb as radial.Kitchen is fully fitted so it is imposible to fit cooker switch above work serfaces,it has to be behind adjoining cabinet.does it matter?
Thank you.

The answer lies in the question.

I'm a bit concerned, Saleem, that you seem to be asking an awful lot of very basic questions, but from one earlier post (as I recall) you are also carrying out extensive electrical work. Are you absolutely sure that the proposed occupants of this property will be safe?

You've been very lucky then, as you've done complete rewires without the faintest idea about how to choose cables.

Do you not appreciate that the knowing the load is essential? That's why you were asked!

Well said BAS,

Got to admit that a mate of mine (ex industrial) asks me (and others) such "baby" questions about domestics that I shudder.
A few of us domestic/industrial have come to the conclusion that "someone`s been carrying him for years" and to top it all he`s just become Part P (full) approved.
Oh Heck
