I need to replace an electric shower, and herself wants gold-effect, which is clearly not 'on-trend' at the moment. No probs, get white, and buy a goldy riser, hose and shower head.
Err... just about every maker says "No!" citing the PRD might pop. I became aware of this when I opened up the shower I bought, only to find the warning. On checking, just about all the ones I can find a manual for say the same.
Pros: is this a real likelihood, given that people change them all the time, just to avoid descaling/deep cleaning them? Or is it just another get-out clause for warranty?
We have never had a shower where the pipe n head weren't updated at some point.
Any thoughts? Ta.
