electric single ovens

    what are the regs on single electric oven which is built in to units connected to a 13amp fused spur behind it with no other means of isolation outwith would that be allowed ?

    It would probably be safe, but I believe regulations require an accessible isolation point in the event of an emergency e.g. if the oven catches fire. This isolation point needs to be within 2m of the oven.

    I'd definitely have a cooker switch above the worktop, either in place of the fused spur or in addition to.
