We need to re-upholster some of our dining room chairs. They have a ply base about 5 mm thick and we intend to staple new cover material on to them (stapled underneath so cannot be seen). The electric staplers I have seen TacWise (EL53 and EL140) and Stanley TRE555 use either a "53" or a "140" staple. Prices seem to be comparable. I assume the "140" is heavier duty. I intend to use staples of 6mm length.

Any advice or experiences on what type might be the most suitable for this job?

Many thanks,

Mark S.
