Hello
I have just purchased two, one gang 2 way exterior light switches so that I can instal a two way switching system in my garage.
I believe 2 way swithes normally have three connections marked L1, L2 and a com terminal.
Can you please help with this situation where the connections on the switches I have purchased don't have these markings.
This switch has three connections, one marked L, and the other two with a X.
Is this something new and can I use these swithes. Which connection is the com?

Your L terminal will be what you know as "common" & the 2 terminals marked X will be L1 & L2. See the wikki for 2 way lighting circuits & everything should become clear. I presume you have a properly installed supply already in your garage.
