Hi there

I have a Vailant EcoTEC (about 4 years old) in a cupboard measuring roughly 1.5m wide x 1m deep x 3.5m. Plenty of space around it, and it was fitted into that cupboard a year ago by a Gas Safe registered fitter.

I'd like to put a small freezer in the bottom of the cupboard, but can't find any info online as to whether this is permissible or accepted practice.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Cheers

Bob

I don't think you should have any problems with regards to regulations/requirements to this.
But there is a gas regulation concerning the proximity between electrical fixtures (meters, switches, sockets, distribution boards etc...) and the gas meter/pipes.
*no less than 150mm separation.
Also the separation of electrical cable and flex, should be at least 25mm from gas pipe up to 35mm dia or 50mm if greater.

So I suggest you keep to those and obviously any pipes supplying heating/hot water should also be offered separation.
