Can I come in here and ask if there's a program specifically for drawing domestic wiring layout, i.e. showing the position of lights, sockets, etc within a room using BS symbols? Ta.

Thanks eggplant. Yep, there's plenty out there, but I haven't yet seen a simple domestic electrics layout prog using BS symbols. Maybe I'll try MS Visio...

didnt think of visio, I was still thinking of actual cad software. I have used visio in the past for network diagrams, It might be just what you need. You can get a 30 day trial here http://www.microsoft.com/office/visio/prodinfo/trial.mspx
