Electrical outlets with Wood Cladding

Hi,

I'm looking for a nice way to "extend" these power outlets so that they sit on top of the wood cladding. Here are the images of my two outlets:

Can anyone provide a good idea or solution to this as I just cannot think of anything and searching Google isn't bringing up anything useful either

Cut a rectangle of softwood, 30mm or so bigger all round than the socket plate

Chamfer all 4 edges to match T&G then cut out for the backbox.
