I have moved a light switch and as a result need to connect the new 4 core wiring to the existing wiring. What is the best way of doing this so that it remains safe before and after plastering?
the switch was 2 way in the first place. All i have done is move the switch about 18 inches along a wall. I just want to make sure that i use an appropriate method of connecting the "new" wiring to the old wiring.
the junction should be accessable and not just plastered over so you may have to replace more than the 18" to get it to a point where you could 1, get at it in the future & 2, get it into a zone where someone else would expect a cable to be.
