It's a good job the 132kV is built for redundancy - They would be able to isolate that sub, and connect another to keep supplies on and healthy.
Very rare to see 132kV kit go like that - 11kV to 415v is far more common.

my uncle (who was a Board electrician) told me that during the war 
he came across one feeding the aircraft factory in Bristol that had boiled out its cooling oil and was starting to smell a bit hot
rather than cut power to the factory, he and his mate unstopped a can of oil and propped it above the entry hole, then scuttled back behind a wall in case it blew up.
