Hi all,
I am planning to instal a washing machine under the sink but I am unsure on the cofiguration of the sockets. I want to be sure about saftey regarding the installation of a socket under the sink.
Is it possible to fit a three ping socket ? or should I instal a low level unswitched socket ?
And also is there a need to have F.C.U with neon above the work surface?
Any help as always is very appreciated.

just put a spur socket form the raing main to under the bench. as an extra, have a FCU above the bench to isolate the washer socket

Switched or unswitched, low level or high level, a socket will still have 3 pings.

For peace of mind I would suggest using an MK Masterseal socket.

Or put a longer flex on and not have the socket under the sink.

Reminds me of MP's The Meaning Of Life, and "The machine that goes "PING""!!!!

Thanks for all your replies, I will go ahead and spur off the ring main and instal the socket - minus the pings :D .
