Dear Expert

I am trying to calculate how to work out the cross sectional area of steel wire armoured cables when being used as a circuit protective conductor (CPC).

The formula is indicated in the IEE wiring regulations, BS7671 i.e.

S= Sq Root (Isquared * t) / k

Also how do I know if this is enough for a cpc.
