Electrolux Induction Hob (John Lewis JLB11H603) Fail

This hob is secondhand but barely used. It turns on, it recognises pans (which worked on my previous induction hob) but they don't get hot. There is no error given. It just sits there as if it's working, just with no heat being generated. What could be wrong?
