We have moved into our new house just a month ago. I realised two days back that the Elica Glacier 70 Glass Cooker Hood's fan speed started fluctuating automatically and suddenly today it stopped working. The fan switch on the hood was kind of lose when we moved into our new house and I had to press it on 2-3 times of make the fan work.

Can please anyone help me about this. Do we have to change the whole extractor or just the fan motor? How much it is going to cost? The hood itself is around £675 in John Lewis. Is there anything we can do ourself or do we have to call someone to repair it?

Thanks in anticipation of your responses.

I don't think spares for these are generally available to the public, but DR Kitchen Appliances 01252 351111 may be able to point you in the right direction.
