hi there great site very helpful info!

quick question, if i have 4 lights on a circuit and one is an emergency how would this be wired? does the feed have to go to the emergency light first then loop to the others? does it matter which light the switch line goes to? all in t&e..

The emergency light must have a switched feed (normal on/off) and a permanent feed for battery charging & supply monitoring. The permanent feed should be wired via a test key switch for maintenance.

How you achieve that depends on how you are wiring the lights.

Twin and earth is fine for emergency lighting as long as it meets all other requirements relating to the installation/building.
