emersion heater

I recently switched on my emersion heater (Not used in about 15 yrs) to see if it was ok . It checked out o/k electrically . But it started roaring, the water was hot in the cylinder.So I switched if off. Should I renew it.

Some can be noisey when in use. Could be scaled up

I think they are actually Tigers, although they probably sound similar
