Hope someone can help me, otherwise I'll have to re-paper my whole kitchen!!
Whilst slapping some white emulsion on my ceiling, I must have caught the paintbrush on the wallpaper and didn't notice. Obviously it's well and truly dried now. I tried white spirit and warm soapy water (not together). Neither worked and instead, took the coating off the wallpaper!
Can someone suggest what might work? I would be eternally grateful.

If all else has failed, including elbow grease lol, then you might want to buy a bottle of 'brush cleaner',(by from any DIY store, near the white spirit) it is for cleaning brushes oilbased and emulsion, but over the years I have used it for other things.
Getting paint of PVC, dried paint off carpet, and one time an expensive coat, I thought well... its ruined anyway, but I will give it a go, and just dabbed very gently with the brush cleaner, and it came off.
Its does whiff a bit, but as long as it gets the paint off you wont mind. :D

Vaseline intensive care lotion, dabbed on and left for a while should do the trick.

It certainly works very well on carpets.

I do not think brush cleaner works on emulsion paint
