Emulsion White Undercoat

Hi everyone

I'm currently painting the house and am undercoating before the colour goes on. I always used Crown brilliant white (2 coats) as it's nice and thick, easy to work with, but the local shop has run out, what is a decent alternative to use?

I've tried johnstons white, and that's like coloured water

If you are not averse to using oil based paints, 1 coat of Dulux Trade undercoat would cover equally well.
