Hello,

After reading a lot of threads about having planning to do certain work on houses i've started to panic. I bought a house 2 years ago which had an en-suite bathrrom fitted in the early 90's. As far as i'm aware (mainly due to very poor workmanship as it was all done by the previous owner) there was no planning to do this. How does this affect me when i want to sell the house? I didnt have a full survey carried out when i bought the place but i'm guessing other people will and this may show up. I am in the process of rectifying all the bad work now.

Cheers

Tom

Planning is mainly aimed at the external appearance of the property and the properties use.
The ensuite should comply with building regs tho.
