I believe there are preformed panels with honey comb insulation that can be used instead of stud walls to save space, but cant find any information. Can anyone advise please?
I saw something like this on a YT video, looked great, but I had already bought Hardiebacker boards! CAnnot remember the name of the ones I saw, but I think like this?
Maybe you are talking about Paramount partition boards?
For the sake of saving a few mm's dont bother, use conventional studding and p/b.
Paramount, and similar partitioning, can be well fussy for the newcomer - I'd leave them alone.
Those Marmox boards are nice to work with, lightweight & decent R value. Fragile though and once you add up all the posh fixings it gets quite pricy. Hardiebacker has mass which helps enormously with reducing noise transmission (as poetically decribed above)
