Engineer can't find problem. Can't keep taking time off work

Update - the engineer from Ideal came out on Monday. Credit where credit's due, he did a full check of the system and was here for a good couple of hours. He gave the whole system and remote thermostat a good going over.

He replaced the thermistor.......and I've had heating & HW since Monday.

Thanks to everyone who replied and a MASSIVE thank you to Mike for your help. I'm extremely grateful.
