Engineered flooring install questions

I've found most of the info I need online. A few questions for any professional fitters out there:
1. Is DPC sheet needed to lay over original pine floorboards on the ground floor?
2. After fitting and removing the wedges, do I need to use cork expansion inserts where the wedges were or are these note required? (Floor will be glued)
