Hi Guys

Just about to lay my engineered wood floor, but before I do, I have a couple of questions
1. do I need to take off the skirting boards ( I have just had the walls replastered & Painted, so don't really want to do that if I don't need to)
2. About a quarter of the floor is Parquet flooring and the rest is floorboards and the are some concrete areas - Can I lay the new floor straight over the parquet floor ??

Thanks

Hi Archie

If you use flat beading or scotia to cover the expansion gaps you can leave your skirting boards where they are now.

For 2: see here
