I was going to lay Quick Step laminate in the bedrooms and landing of our house, however after seeing our friends proper wood floor i have had a change of heart.
Does anyone have any recommendations for engineered wood?
As i will be laying it myself i want one that, like Quick Step, is easy to install (i.e. click not tongue and groove/glued) at a reasonable price.

Click, easy to install? As long as you have very straight walls, only one door as obstacle in the whole room - and a few mates at hand to help you with the rows.

Otherwise, standard simple T&G is much easier to install (and to correct during installation without breaking the "click" system).

OK maybe "easy" was a bit strong.
However i have been looking at the Admonter, Berry Floors and Kahrs ranges.
Does anyone have any experience good or bad with these or could anyone recommend another manufacturer that they were particulary impressed with especially if they installed it themselves.

Kahrs flooring without question. Just put 130msq down in a house I've renovated. Great stuff... The 15mm eng. stuff also has stairs nosings that fit perfectly, so you can line your stairs in it too. I was paying £25/m2 for it. It is nice to lay - oh err !
