Oh, there's a thought. Ever had an oatcake down Stoke way?

Very tasty....

You used to be able to get them from the likes of (larger) Sainsbury's and Tesco's, but I have not seen them for a while.

Edit.

Just looked them up on JS website. Yes, they are still available. £1.15 for 6.

They are really tasty grilled with cheese or you can use it like a toast replacement in a fry-up.
They are dinner plate sized, so I toast one and put in on the plate, then pile on whatever you want, sausage, bacon tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, beans, eggs, hash browns....
The best oatcakes we ever had were from a shop in Burbage on the edge of Buxton. Used to pick them up when we went to visit my mother.

Really not a fan of McD's. Used to call in onece every 6 months when I was working just to remind me haow bad they were.

I find Greggs do a cracking bacon roll.

BLT baguette from Nott'm train station was a fine way to get you started of a morning. Excellent coffee, too.

I remember their root beer  I'm not making this up but when I was a teen a few of us went in one day and my mate asked for a cheeseburger without the cheese. Moron
You can apparently delete stuff when ordering a burger from the touch screens in the restaurants now. I wonder if you can delete everything and just order an empty box!

He could have just ordered the hamburger! Feck knows what was going on in his brain.

You could try it and report back.

Call me posh I don’t care. I am here enjoying my expensive pack up without a care in the world. With duck eggs and a pot noodle I am just living my best life.
