English Cooking

I have had an old English classic today. macaroni cheese with a duck egg, followed by sponge and custard
 
So was our chicken.

Tomato and basil soup with fresh cooked bread roll for starters then apple and blackurrant tart with thick cream for pudding as we had visitors.

Cheese and biscuits coming up.

What is thick cream? Have you whipped it or is does naturally come thick some how?
 
I ate a box of dog biscuits as a dare for charity once at school aged 12...
 
I had homemade rock cake and custard for pud....very nice.
