I am not on the right though but I don't hold views which are proper left. There are certain topics which trigger off insane levels of fever pitch. Pro Israel and anything negative about Covid and vaccination get posters banned and threads closed or deleted.

I think you said you are more of a libertarian, like the people who write Spiked? I think I'm somewhere in between John Major and Tony Blair. I supported both. I avoid anything really to do with covid and vaccinations. I like a good chat about the Middle East but I avoid specific threads which have become toxic.
