Entering sleep mode. WT?

My daughter's PC (Windows XP) has started showing the "entering sleep mode" message during start up. It won't start normally, it goes so far then just hangs. I can start it in safe mode though, any ideas?

Anything that you have installed/uninstalled recently?

System restore maybe your best option.

It's my daughter's so I'm not exactly sure what's she's been doing with it. I don't think there's anything new on it. She told me it was doing that but when I tried it, it worked ok for a week before it happened. Now it seems to do it all the time.

Can you check the Event Viewer for clues, Right Click on My Computer ans select Manage. Look for clues on events with errors (especially in System and Application)

Doing a google with the errors with give you more information or post back.
