Hope somebody can point me in the right direction.

If i had a blank envelope and i was wanting to print say my name across the top can this be done using MS word?
I know when i type a letter with word it lets me print the name and address on an envelope but i dont seem to be able to add any more text any where else on it?
TIA

I would say, measure the envelope and enter the dimention into a custom page format. make sure your printer is aligned in the correct place and it should be OK.

Once you have wrote your letter, goto Tools and select Envelopes and Mailings (maybe under the sub heading Letters and Mailings)

With the envelope tab selected and the correct envelope size selected (through options) click add to document.

You will be able to then add extra text to your envelope and move your address around. :D

It also depends on your printer.
Laser printers dont like window envelopes(but why would you be using one) & they dont like the self adhesive. This is due to the heat from the print process.

But yes word depends on version, its in mailings
