EP2002, over riding default times!

Hi, as most will know, this clicks on the boiler at 6.30 till 9.30 and then 4.30 till 10.30... With is having a high pressure boiler and me being a light sleeper, I'm waking up at 6.30 when I dont need to zzzz! I have already set the times by clicking SET and tweaking times.. but when its back to RUN and the HW is on TWICE, it continues to ignore the new times.

It's quite an old unit, probably just given up the ghost. The EP2 is a direct replacement

If I buy an upgrade, is there any wiring involved? is it wireless?? I presume its wired into the house electrics? I cant see any wires above or below, it looks as thought its just on a bracket.

not wireless both are hard wired
