Can anyone please give a rough cost comparison between an EPDM versus a felt roof (each professionally fitted)? What I would like is something like: EPDM is likely to be around the same price as a felt roof, or twice as much or whatever.

It's one of those... Technically, single ply EPDM and glue works out cheaper to buy PSM than quality 4mm SBS torch on felt and underlay.
People just charge more for EPDM as it's a newer product than traditional felt and requires some degree of training to fit.
As an installer of EPDM, I still prefer a proper felt roof which will last as long as EPDM provided quality materials have been sourced and it's been fitted by a proper fitter with a brain.
EPDM is great for looks and cleanliness.

Extra cost would be additional boards needed for the gluing of rubber down.
