Anyone know how to fix this error? A full registry clean (recommended by most on google search) failed to fix the problem.
Any help much appreciated.

You can set the option to be able to view hidden files by clicking start then selecting run. In the Run command type "control.exe folders" without the quotes and hit enter. This will load folder options in this window select the view tab and check the radio button next to the option for "Show hidden files and folders"

You can also access this same window by pressing alt while in an explorer window to bring up the hidden menus then select Tools, Folder Options.

stolen from another site..does this make sense? That is what the error code equals.

Thanks for the info. Still cannot delete folder. I will live with it as it is on my backup drive, not main "C" drive

Download and run CCleaner...run it, it removes all junk, including passwords etc..just make sure the site you download it from is legit, as hackers have seen how effective it is, and hijacked the main page...
