Escort Zetec Clutch Cable....Urgent.....

Hi, Can anyone help please, my son in law has a 1600 zetec escort and the clutch cable has broken, problem is I am in Portsmouth and he has broken down in Hastings, I need to know the best way of changing it, what tools I will need to take etc. I need to source one from a scrappy tomorrow, then drive to Kent to fit it.. any help please....

I'm guessing a bit here, but the last escort i changed a cable on was a clip on the gearbox end, and a plastic loop that clipped over a hook on the pedal end. There is a 13mm head bolt on the pedal as an adjuster.

If no bolt on the pedal, then it's probably a self adjuster and completely different from above!

Cheers neo, I have heard on some there is an Allen Head screw for the adjuster, I will take a selection of small spanners and keys and a pair of long nose pliers, then hope for the best...
