ESCORT ZETEC INTERMITTENT START PROBLEM!!

Hi, i have a problem where i can only start the car with a push start in the mornings. Theres plenty of battery power, turns over great, just no spark but when you turn the engine a few times via a push start it fires and runs fine throughout the day. Again, the next day or after being left for a while, it will do the same. It's a 1.8 zetec, '95. anyone have any suggestions/solutions? Thanks in advance. Andrew

Really want to see if there are any fault codes logged in the ecu as this will tell you where the problems are.

Things that it could be are:
Crank position sensor
Coil pack
Temp sender
101 other things!
