espace leaking in

Got our Espace at Auction. Found it was leaking in . Water can be nearly
1 inch deep in front passenger footwell. It seems to come in from
behind the dashboard. Tried hosepipe on it for 2 hours still can't work
out how its getting in? Help!!! We've had the car 4 years and want to sell it!

Did you have any repairs done recently? I had a similar problem with my Volvo S40 but eventually spotted the leak to the absence of seal to the rear light that was letting rain water in after I noticed that the spare wheel housing was filling up with water. I took it back to the garage where the rear light was fitted following a minor accident and they sorted the problem out by putting a new seal, vacuuming and polishing my car dry.

Thanks for your reply. The car has leaked since we bought it. I will have a look to check seals though.
