essex or surrey flange?

M

hi im installing a 2 bar stuart turner twin pump it would be so easy to use a surrey flange, but at the moment the cylinder only has an 3/4" female tapping and the only surrey flanges i can get have 1"MI. i guess the only way is to use an essex flange but how hard are these to fit, and what would be the best way to do it thanks.

Are you sure? Often there's a bush reducing it, which looks like part of the cylinder.
Essex are easier to fit anyway. 15mm would do for a shortish run.
Once you've bought the holesaw (1 5/16" iirc) you're away. Plenty of threads here.

Hard enough if you drop the inner seal in the cylinder. Not done one for a while though.

Follow the MIs. There's pretty much only one way, and it's easy.

Yes there is, but the Essex is still easier and better.

Have you considered a Sussex flange?
And this from someone who thinks that Denise van Outen is a type of Essex flange.
