I had fibre broadband fitted. Bt ran cable to small grey trunking on front of house. They then ran a cable jointed from that to sode of house where it comes into front room and they installed a white box on skirting with 3 green lights. I then ran an ethernet from that to my router.
I want to run ethernet around the house and will run most off a hub in front room.
But can i run an outdoor cable from the front of the house? Im an ex bt engineer and familiar with running copper extensions and crimping cables, but no idea on fibre. Will it be fibre into the white box or do they join copper at front of the house?
Basically can i join some cat5e to that front of house trunking?

No. The white box with flashing lights is the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) converts 'Light comms' to wired comms. The CAT5 or 6 cable that goes to the router is effectively a WAN or a LAN circuit. You can run cables from the output side of the router to various points around the house. But only one device per Roiuter output (usually on BT routers the 'Yellow' outlined socket. If you need more devices connection than outputs the most appropriate solution is a 'Switch' or a 'Hub' - same thing really.
