EU calling for respect.

what I am against is giving EU citizens the automatic right to live and work in the UK because we buy oranges from José and wine from Pierre.
Which is a Reform sound bite and twisting the truth. But you know that ..

Why do you think those that voted to leave do not want lower trade barriers with the EU?
leave voters wanted UK to be able to make new trade deals around the world............

leave voters specifically wanted to diverge from EU, so trade barriers were inevitable

I’m all for selling and buying from our nearest neighbours but what I am against is giving EU citizens the automatic right to live and work in the UK because we buy oranges from José and wine from Pierre.
typical brexer trying to trivialise the importance of trade with the EU

around 42% of our exports go to the EU, its a tad more than oranges

neighbours but what I am against is giving EU citizens the automatic right to live and work in the UK
why?

Buying and selling produce should not be linked to freedom of movement.
personally I see the opportunity of people being able to move freely around a choice of 28 countries a great benefit to freedom

its funny how right wing people whine about how they support freedom: small state, low regulations, low taxes, freedom of speech............they just hate freedom for ordinary citizens.

lets just have freedom for people like Nigel Farage, Richard Tice, Andre Neil....and other millionaires

I also believe that UK citizens should not have an automatic right to live and work in the EU just because they buy whisky and cheese from us. Buying and selling produce should not be linked to freedom of movement.
Congratulations, the UK now takes on board more (unable to work) migrants than ever, since your shìtty Brexit.

Bring back FOM, at least it had a positive economic effect on the UK.

Brexit - utter pile of shít.

Mottie doesn't care.
JohnD doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about the tax dodges he employs but doesn’t like it when people with more money than him do the same. He calls them tax dodgers. JohnD is a hypocrite.

You mean those that said 'give us a hard Brexit, harder the better, I don't care..'

Dunno, do you?
Given the choice of a hard Brexit or no Brexit, I’d have chosen the hard Brexit, certainly. All I want to do with the EU is buy and sell stuff to them and take on their workers that we need. I don’t even care about the silly 90/180 rule. Most people don’t either including you.

It looks like one of the major sticking points is that Trump is still demanding the EU drop VAT. I still can't work out whether he really understands it.
