Hi during some works to move the main powerboard and meter, the electrician cut the cable to the Euro 46 keypad and a downstairs Pir.

Having reconnected the keypad and Pir,

I keep getting the coms 485 error. "485/Comms lost"

Having replaced the fuses to the RS 485 bus which I found to be blown, and pressing and holding "D" entering 2000 and assigning the address to 00, pressing A, the coms error 485 persists.

I'm wondering could the keypad be blown
or could there be other issues I'm not aware off?

when I use the Homecontrol app to log in , I see the following: 485 Fail Kpd

Device 00 485 fail

I figure when the Electrician cut the cable there was still power to the alarm system and may have shorted the key pad.

Any suggestions...

thank you

U say reconnected.... has the cable been replaced or joined? U will need to test the cable with a multimeter or test the keypad at the panel on a short cable to prove where the fault is. No point guessing
