Since the cold weather the boiler runs all the time. Water is hot. Radiators hot. Help, has the thermostat gone. The controls on the front of the boiler do not control the temperature of the water or heating. The timer unit keeps time but does not seem to connect to the temperature of the water and the timer does not shut off the water and heating. Help any suggestions.

Call in a competent technician. Whatever it costs will surely be saved in oil cost.
frost stat might be sticking on, or motorised valve jammed. stix.
Frost stat or stuck motorised valve will not overide 'the temperature control'. Get it looked at by a competent technician.

temp control must work to some extent or it would trip overheat stat. could the flowswitch be stuck ? did have one once but on different boiler with same symptoms.
