We have a Eurostar 90 oil boiler
Its been recently serviced but now has another problem
The progammer switches on Hot water but the boiler refuses to fire
The same on Heating
The boiler does not lockout and there is no Orange light on the control box
The flame detect photocell is new and clear of soot
The boiler will fire and run if you push the Orange button on control box
4 or five times then all is well

Any ideas?

I know its getting on a bit but as we are selling the house i dont want to put a new boiler in

Thanks

Thanks for that

Pressing the Button on the controller makes a click from the motor
pressing again starts the motor then i runs fine
Where can i get a new Motor / Capacitor now Trianco are no more
i hope i can fit these items myself

Looks like the Motor just bolts on
I assume the Capacitor is the Black square item above
Made by Danfoss marked type EBI
What is the small round unit covered in a black plastic cap at the front
where the power supply is connected ?

cant see Label on motor till i take the burner out

the ebi is the transformer; that provides the power for the electrodes.

The small black cap is the capacitor. Pull the cap off and there are two wires; be carefull you dont get a shock off of the capacitor, as it holds a charge.

Probably best to replace the burner motor as it comes complete with a capacitor;

Purchase this from; www.abgo.co.uk
