Have we paid already? Because the discussions have formally finished, so that is not true, is it?
And, the latest bill estimate is £33 billion - sounds like you've not read anything about it since 2016 ...

Anyway, it's small change. The City of London contributes around £408 billion a year to the UK economy. This is going to be hit very hard by brexit (oooh, project fear!).
A more stable economy more than pays for the cost of being a member of the EU - that's why so many people want it.

So, that suggests we've spent about £93 billion just talking about it. And you're worried about the £39 billion that we've already agreed to pay anyway?

Do you use contracts for payment in your work? How do you feel when people just walk away without paying what they agreed?
