Expanding Drive way

Looking for ideas to expand the drive way so that we can get both cars side by side. I've got this rather old fashioned front garden triangle. I'm not a fan of block paving and don't really want to expand it.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking of some sort of 20mm gravel/coloured stone on a base. I liked the idea of grey slate, but understand it just turns to dust over time on drive ways?

Our local church has that for it's overflow car parking and for several years. It seems to work well, and looks like ordinary grass when not in use.

Can you mow it?

I guess so, I've never used it, if not it'd be a bit of flaw in the design!

Yes! No different to ordinary grass, except the grid makes it firm enough to drive upon, even when it's soggy.
