when should i foam pvcu windows before glass is fitted or after
thanks for any help

Only my opinion but I've never seen foam actually distort a upvc frame so its really up to you.....either way, the glazed unit doesn't want to be squeezed once its in place.
John :)

Wet the gap first, it will stick better.

As above don't use too much and keep moving the gun/can.

Like the last post, wet the gap first only not to much, I used a spray bottle for this, and put your opening sashes in first to stop any compression.
The foam actually uses moisture to assist curing, normally from the atmosphere but in enclosed space requires a we hand...pinenot

Did the foam have nowhere to go? Foam usually finds the easiest route out, which will be the gap inbetween the frame and the brick still exposed.

IME, foam is fine, just hold the nozel and move. It's better thermally and keeps sound out, rather than trying to put mortar in.

Never had a problem.
