Hi

I have 2 questions if anyone can answer them ?

1) i believe my expansion vessel inside my system boiler has lost charge naturally, every time heating has been on these past few dfays, the gauge needle rises and the prv discharges water. then the gauge reads 0 again and i have to top up.

to check/re-charge the pressure do i need to drain the whole system down or just drain the boiler until the gauge reads 0?

2) has anyone ever used push fit flexy tap connectors? i am fitting new taps to my basin, probably at the weekend, and was thinking of trying them? or are compression better?

thanks for your help all.

ok will do :)

push fit are safe then? no chance of a blow off at a later date when you are out shopping ... :(

as long as the joint is made right and pushed fully in

and the inserts are used if on plastic

and god don't strike your house with a thunderbolt

you might just be ok ;)
